Therapeutic Groups:

Clinical staff at The Oak Hill Center for Relationship & Sexuality Education facilitate weekly sessions for individuals with special needs with the goal of increasing their self-esteem and interpersonal skills.  Participants develop their listening skills and empathy, learn to discriminate between types of relationships, practice appropriate social behavior, develop critical thinking and responsible decision-making and learn to recognize exploitation and abuse. 

Program features include:

  • safe and confidential learning environment
  • homogeneous grouping according to ability
  • maximum of 8 participants
  • rehearsal through sociodrama
