Some individuals require evaluation of their knowledge and judgment in the area of sexuality. This training module will teach selected clinicians from your facility to conduct assessments of ability to consent to sexual activity for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Included in this module are the following:
- balancing client rights with professional responsibility
- best practices and standards in relation to consent issues
- framing sexual consent in organizational policy
- assessment protocols
- establishing standards for evaluating sexual expression
- considerations for further evaluation, education and treatment.
